Have you ever felt weighed down by worry, sadness, or the uncertainty of change? Do you sometimes wonder if life will ever feel steady again, or if you will be able to reclaim a sense of joy and balance? These are questions many of us face, and they are the very places where my work begins.
My name is Sonia Scott, and I am a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) with over seven years of experience walking alongside individuals as they navigate addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. For the past two years, I have held my CASAC, and through this journey I have developed not only clinical skills but also a deep respect for what it means to sit with someone in their most vulnerable moments.
I believe that healing is not just about breaking free from destructive patterns, it is about rebuilding your sense of self, rediscovering your worth, and learning how to trust in your ability to grow. Whether you’re coping with persistent anxiety, moving through depression, or adjusting to a major life change, my role is to hold space, to listen without judgment, and to help you find clarity in the midst of uncertainty.
Much of my background is rooted in substance use treatment, but my true passion lies in supporting the whole person, emotionally, spiritually, and holistically. Together, we can explore questions such as:
- What do you need in order to feel safe and grounded right now?
- How can you begin to release the weight of self-doubt and move toward self-acceptance?
- What small steps can help you rediscover joy and create lasting change?
Currently, I am pursuing my degree in social work, and this internship provides me with the opportunity to continue broadening my skills in order to support individuals facing the challenges of everyday life as well as those navigating deeper struggles.
Above all, my goal is to remind you that healing is not only possible, it is something you truly deserve.
